The Blanchard Valley Veterinary Clinic has been in business since 1946 starting at 1930 North Main Street. We are currently located in our new building at 1611 North Main Street in Findlay, Ohio.
We currently have 3 full-time doctors working at the clinic.
Dr. Tony Fuller
Dr. Fuller grew up in central Alabama and Kenya, Africa. He attended Asbury College in Kentucky for his BA in Biology and Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine for his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine.
He lives in Findlay with his wife Joanne, kids - Joran, Alaya and Kale, dogs - Duma and Lansbury, cats - Empus and Minus.
Dr. Fuller enjoys fishing, boating, disc golf, gastronomy, reading and watching movies.
Dr. Rachael Chiu
Dr. Chiu is a graduate of University of Findlay in 2008. She then went on to attend and graduate from Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2012. Coming home to Ohio and join our staff at BVVC in May, 2015
She resides in Findlay with her son Nathan, her daughter Elena and her husband Mike Chiu, DVM. Her husband is also a Veterinarian and so they both enjoy animals and have numerous pets currently including Dogs - Toby, Lilly; and Cats- Callista.
In her spare time she loves to spend time with her growing family. And she is happy to think about not having to move again anytime soon.
Dr. Chiu's professional interests are general canine and feline and small mammal medicine and surgery, and eventually exotics as well.
Dr. Tyler Fields
Originally from Marion, OH where he was active in the performing arts (Marching Band, Jazz Band, Choir, Show choir, etc...) His interest in veterinary medicine stemmed from raising rabbits and poultry as 4-H projects.
Attended University of Findlay for his undergraduate degree and was an R.A. and played the Euphonium and French Horn in the band. Graduated from The Ohio State University for Veterinary School. Served at the Oxbow Animal Health student representative.
When not working he enjoys playing music, hiking and is very much a "Foodie" who is looking for new places to try.
Dr. Field's professional interests involve Opthalmology and Cardiology.
Dr. Kara Schmidt
Dr. Schmidt is originally from Waterville, OH and is a graduate of the University of Findlay in 2014. After being in Columbus attending veterinary school at The Ohio State University, she is happy to be returning to Northwest Ohio to join the BVVC team.
Dr. Schmidt enjoys reading, kayaking, fishing, visiting her family, and traveling to Northern Michigan whenever possible.She lives in Findlay and has a dog, Sophie, and a Betta fish, Tuna.
Her professional interests include canine and feline preventive medicine, cardiology, and dentistry.
We have an outstanding staff of receptionists, technicians, and assistants! They are all committed to providing the best-possible care to our clients and their pets with heart-felt compassion and concern.
Laura K - Our bookkeeper, who has been with the clinic since 2005 has a variety of accounting experience. She likes most furry pets but is definitely a cat person

Julia - Our Head Technician, Julia started working as a assistant and 2005. After getting her registered technician license she worked in a major referral hospital then joined the BVVC family in the Fall of 2011. Julia enjoys working with behavior and surgery, she and her family have a Doberman Pinscher, Gwen.
Elizabeth - A Registered Veterinary Technician and BVVC Inventory Manager with dogs, cats and a rabbit at home,who graduated from Brown Mackie College and joined us in April 2015
Lindsay - A Registered Veterinary Technician who loves all animals but especially English Bulldogs. She graduated from Stautzenberger College in 2007 and has worked in Arlington until May of 2015 when she joined BVVC
Nichole - A graduate of Brown Mackie College. She has started with us while in High School as a Kennel Aide and now calls her cats Gunner and Charlie as her roommates.
Kendall - A graduate at Brown Mackie College. She always has a smile on her face and is always friendly with two-legged or four legged visitors.
Kelsey - Working in Fremont before moving to Findlay. She is originally from Fremont, OH. She has a wonderful gift of seeing positive in almost any situation. She enjoys posting on Facebook, spending time with her wife Sam and taking care of her own furry family.
Leandra -Our newest RVT was recently working at Lakeshore. She loves being around all types of animals and owns many different types including Hedgehogs. She is from Tiffin and is relocating to Findlay. Make sure you welcome her the next time you see her smiling face.
Trisha - Comes to us from Houston Texas with thirty plus years of customer service experience. Twenty plus years of that have been in the veterinary industry where she started as a kennel assistant, worked her way to veterinary technician and then practice manager. Your client experience is and will always be her utmost concern.
Grace - With years of customer service and love for animals, she can easily appreciate both ends of an owner/pet bond. Her patience and understanding helps her to adapt to sudden situations. She worked her way from chores of cleaning stalls, to a kennel assistant at a local shelter, and now our newest Receptionist. She is eager to expand her skills here at BVVC.
Emily- She is a graduate of Central Michigan University who recently moved to the area. Emily's vast experience working with people makes her a welcome addition to the Blanchard Valley team. In her free time Emily likes to spend time reading and relaxing with her husband and three dogs.
Brian - Is our Practice Manager. A graduate of Bowling Green State University, he is responsible for the business side of the Veterinary Clinic. He is married to his wonderful wife Natalie and has two children Kendall and Benjamin
